Financial Assistance for Specialized Medical Support to a Differently-Abled Student Lions Club of Alibag Poynad extended financial assistance to Kumari Vidhi Nitin Patil, a Class VI student residing at Shrigao, Post Poynad. Vidhi is a differently-abled student with a disability affecting both legs, due to which she is unable to walk independently without support. She requires specialized orthopedic footwear to assist her mobility and support her day-to-day activities. Considering her family’s modest financial circumstances and the need for specialized medical support, Lions Club of Alibag Poynad provided financial assistance of ₹5,000 through a cheque. The cheque was presented to Vidhi by the newly installed Club President, Lion Suryakant Patil, during the Installation and Induction Ceremony of Lions Club of Alibag Poynad. The programme was graced by Installation Officer PMJF Lion Manish Ladge, Past District Governor PMJF Lion Anil Mhatre, and Region Chairperson MJF Lion Vidya Adhikari. The initiative reflects the Club’s commitment to supporting differently-abled students, enabling them to access necessary assistance, continue their education, and move towards a more independent and dignified life.
