First Board of Directors & General Membership Meeting – Lionistic Year 2026–27 Lions Club of Alibag Poynad conducted its first Board of Directors and General Membership Meeting of the Lionistic Year 2026–27 on 11 August 2026. The meeting was the first formal meeting of the Club following the Installation of the new office-bearers and the Induction of new members held on 7 August 2026. It marked the commencement of the Club’s activities and administrative functioning under the newly installed leadership for the new Lionistic Year. The meeting focused on comprehensive planning for the entire Lionistic Year. The Club’s annual budget was discussed and planned, taking into consideration the proposed service activities, administrative expenses, membership-related requirements and other financial commitments. The proposed calendar and roadmap of service activities for the year were also discussed, with emphasis on systematic planning and effective implementation of community service projects. Detailed discussions were held regarding membership fee collection, International and District dues, timely payments and other financial responsibilities of the Club. The members also discussed necessary administrative procedures, including changes to the authorized signatories of the Club’s bank account and related banking formalities. The Club’s upcoming activities and programmes were reviewed and planned, including RC and Zone-level activities, October service activities and other important service and administrative programmes. Responsibilities relating to the planning and execution of these activities were discussed among the Board of Directors and Club members to ensure coordinated and timely implementation throughout the year. A special orientation was also provided to the newly inducted members regarding Lions Clubs International, its organizational structure, objectives, principles, service areas and the functioning of a Lions Club. New members were briefed about the responsibilities of Lions members, Club meetings, Board functioning, service activities, membership administration and the importance of active participation in Club programmes. The meeting provided an important platform for the newly installed leadership, Board of Directors and members to jointly establish the priorities, financial framework, service roadmap and administrative systems for Lionistic Year 2026–27. The Club resolved to work in a structured and coordinated manner throughout the year with a strong focus on meaningful community service, membership engagement and effective Club administration.
