Distribution of Two-Month Cancer Medication to a Needy Cancer Patient at Kusumbale, Alibag

As part of the October Service Week 2026, Lions Club of Alibag Poynad undertook a humanitarian health-support activity at Kusumbale, Alibag, by providing essential medication to a needy cancer patient. Two months’ medication required for the patient’s ongoing cancer treatment was provided free of cost. The total cost of the medicines was ₹1,975. The medicines were formally handed over to the beneficiary by District Governor PMJF Lion Pravin G. Sarnaik during his visit to the service activity at Kusumbale. His presence added significance to the initiative and encouraged the Lions members involved in serving the community. The activity was undertaken with the objective of extending timely support to a person undergoing cancer treatment and helping reduce the financial burden associated with essential medicines.
