🌼 Lions Club of Alibag Mandwa 🌼 The Lions Club of Alibag Mandwa successfully carried out a significant community-oriented service project during the annual religious festivities in the region. On the occasion of the sacred Shri Nageshwar Yatra held at Awas on Tuesday, 04 November 2025, and during the traditional Shri Kankeshwar Yatra at Mapgaon on Wednesday and Thursday, 05 & 06 November 2025, the club organized a free purified drinking water distribution service for the benefit of thousands of devotees, visitors, travellers, and local shopkeepers participating in the yatra activities. Recognizing the heavy footfall, long walking routes, and the physical strain experienced by the pilgrims, the Lions Club took the initiative to ensure that clean, safe, and hygienic drinking water was made available throughout the event. This thoughtful arrangement helped prevent dehydration, ensured the health and well-being of the visitors, and contributed significantly to maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere during the religious gatherings. Across both yatras combined, a total of 1000 litres of pure drinking water was distributed. The service was made possible through the dedicated efforts, teamwork, and active participation of club members, who volunteered their valuable time to ensure smooth distribution, continuous refilling, and proper management of the service point. This initiative not only reflected the club’s commitment to community welfare but also highlighted the core Lions values of service, compassion, and dedication towards society.
