Service Week Launching & Cancer Awareness Women Car Drive – Khopoli to Alibag

Lions Clubs of Alibag Poynad and Khopoli jointly organized the Service Week Launching & Cancer Awareness Women Car Drive, covering the route from Khopoli to Alibag. The initiative marked the launch of the Service Week and aimed to create greater public awareness about cancer prevention, early detection and the importance of timely medical attention. More than 200 Lion Members participated in the programme, including members from Khopoli, Alibag and various Lions Clubs. The special feature of the initiative was a women-led car drive, through which participating women Lion Members travelled from Khopoli to Alibag while carrying the message of cancer awareness and encouraging the community to remain informed about cancer prevention and early detection. The programme was also graced by the presence of District Governor PMJF Lion Pravin Sarnaik, along with participating Lion Members from different clubs. The rally received a warm welcome at Poynad, where arrangements were made for tea and breakfast for all participating Lion Members. Following the welcome programme and refreshments at Poynad, the rally proceeded towards Alibag, carrying forward the message of cancer awareness and community service. The activity successfully brought together Lions Members from different clubs and created a strong platform for promoting health awareness through collective community participation.
