LIONS INTERNATIONAL – DISTRICT 3231 A4 LIONS CLUB OF ULWE GEMS Region 4 | Zone 3 | L.Y. 2026–27 OCTOBER SERVICE WEEK 2026 EYE CHECK-UP CAMP Date: 3rd October 2026, Saturday Venue: Laxmi Public School, Sukapur, Panvel In Association With: BHUKHA NA RAHE KOI Community Service Team – Since 2021 --- PROJECT OVERVIEW As part of October Service Week 2026, an Eye Check-up Camp was organised at Laxmi Public School, Sukapur, Panvel, in association with Bhukha Na Rahe Koi – Community Service Team Since 2021. The camp was organised with the objective of promoting eye health, early detection of vision-related problems and preventive eye care among students, teachers, parents and members of the community. Qualified medical professionals conducted eye examinations and guided beneficiaries regarding the importance of regular eye check-ups and maintaining good eye health. --- EYE HEALTH SERVICES The camp included: 👁️ Comprehensive Eye Check-up 🔍 Vision / Visual Acuity Screening 👓 Identification of Vision Problems 🧑‍⚕️ Basic Eye Health Consultation 📋 Guidance for Further Eye Care and Treatment Participants were advised to seek further consultation wherever required and to undertake regular eye examinations for early detection and prevention of vision-related complications. --- PROJECT STATISTICS Particulars| Details Total Beneficiaries| 250 Venue| Laxmi Public School, Sukapur, Panvel Date| 3rd October 2026 Service Week| October Service Week 2026 --- PROJECT IMPACT The Eye Check-up Camp benefited 250 participants, creating greater awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations and preventive eye care. Early screening can help identify vision-related concerns and encourage timely medical consultation. The initiative therefore made a meaningful contribution towards promoting healthy vision and preventive healthcare within the community.
