🚦 Lions Club Nagothane Organizes Traffic Awareness Program Nagothane: As part of the Service Week of Lions Club of Nagothane, a Traffic Awareness Program was organized on Sunday, 4th October 2026, at Wakan Phata, Nagothane. The initiative was conducted with a strong sense of social responsibility, with the objective of creating awareness among motorists about traffic rules and road safety. During the program, motorists were guided on strict adherence to traffic rules, road safety, safe driving practices, wearing helmets, controlling speed, avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving, and taking responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of others. The program was graced by the presence of Governor Pravin Sarnaik, First VGD Vijay Ganatra, Second VGD Namita Mishra, Multiple Secretary PGD Sanjay Suryawanshi, GST Coordinator Anil Mhatre, District Secretary Nayan Kavale, RC Vidya Adhikari, ZC Manjusha Kudrimodi, Lady Governor Shruti Sarnaik, Ankita Mhatre, Priyadarshini Patil, Traffic Police Inspector Geetanjali Jagtap, Cabinet Chairman (CANS) R. P. Pandey, and District Treasurer Nuruddin Rohawala. The initiative was actively supported by Lions Club Nagothane President Lion Vilas Chaulkar, MJF Lion Yashwant Chitre, MJF Lion Vivek Subhekar, MJF Lion Sudhakar Jawke, Sakharam Tadkar, Deepak Gaikwad, Rutuja Panchal, Sujata Jawke, Daulat Modi, Prakash Jain, and Vijay Shahasane, along with other office bearers and members of the Lions Club. The program conveyed an important message that traffic rules are not merely meant to avoid penalties, but are essential for protecting our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Motorists were urged to follow traffic regulations, wear helmets and seat belts, and drive responsibly. The awareness drive concluded with the strong message: “Follow the Rules – Stay Safe; Safe Journey, Safe Life!” The initiative received an encouraging response and reflected the Lions Club Nagothane’s commitment towards road safety and community welfare.
