Building Confident Communicators. Nurturing Future Leaders. It was a pleasure to be part of the Centre of Leadership Excellence – A Transformative Institute at Alibag, an initiative of our District GLT Committee 2026–27, beautifully organised by our District GLT Coordinator, Lion Reena Agarwal on 23 Aug 2026. The Public Speaking Seminar received an overwhelming response, with 42 Lions participating and more than 30 Lions taking the stage to learn, practise and develop their communication skills. from our club PST Lion Rajendra Thakur Lion Shreeyash Gharat & PMJF Lion Sandip Mhatre attended this Leadership Excellence centre. The programme was greatly enriched by Lion Anand Mehta, an accomplished facilitator and experiential educator who has been associated with leadership training at the international level, including programmes for District Governors and DG teams. His expertise and engaging style brought exceptional value to the learning experience. The participants were also guided by Lion Divya Bajaj, whose energetic and interactive approach added another valuable dimension to the programme. A special feature was the 3-Minute Speech Challenge, giving participants an opportunity to immediately put the techniques they learned into practice. This is exactly what meaningful leadership training should do—move us from learning to action. Our sincere congratulations to Lion Reena Agrawal for conceptualising and driving this wonderful initiative, and our appreciation to Lion Anand Mehta, Lion Divya Bajaj and the entire team for making it a meaningful learning experience. A District becomes stronger when its Lions continue to learn, grow and develop themselves. Leadership is not merely about holding a position. Leadership is about preparing ourselves to serve better.
