LIONS INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 3231 A4 | L.Y. 2026–27 OCTOBER SERVICE WEEK 2026 ACTIVITY REPORT USED CLOTHES COLLECTION & HANDOVER DRIVE Organised By: BHUKHA NA RAHE KOI Community Service Team – Since 2021 Convenor: PMJF Lion Milind Patil Date: 6 October 2026 Time: 3:30 PM onwards Venue: Shree Gorakshnath Mandir, Vahal 🌱 OBJECTIVE As part of October Service Week 2026, Bhukha Na Rahe Koi Community Service Team organised a Used Clothes Collection Drive to promote sustainable living, reuse of resources and responsible textile-waste management. Used clothes collected through the initiative were handed over to the Textile Waste Innovation Network for appropriate processing, reuse and recycling. ♻️ KEY HIGHLIGHTS - Collection of used clothes from the community and participating Lions Clubs. - Promotion of Reuse, Recycle & Responsible Textile Management. - Handover of collected clothes to the Textile Waste Innovation Network. - Creating awareness about reducing textile waste and protecting the environment. - Participation and support from multiple Lions Clubs. 🤝 LEADING CLUBS - Lions Club of Ulwe Gems - Lions Club of Dronagiri - Lions Club of Vashi Gold - Lions Club of Uran Veer Vajekar College Campus 🌍 IMPACT The initiative encouraged the community to give a second life to usable clothing while ensuring that unwanted textiles are handled through a more responsible waste-management process.
