Happiness Through Service “Turning Pages, Shaping Futures – Inspiringg Young Minds through the Gift of Knowledge” 🏆 Activity Name: Book Donation Drive in School 📅 Date, Time & Venue: 8th August 2025, 1:00 PM – Kewale High School, Kewale, Tal. Panvel 📝 About the Event & Its Importance: Books are more than paper and ink – they are windows to the world, keys to curiosity, and seeds of dreams. In a world where technology races ahead, there are still many children whose learning journey depends entirely on the resources placed in their hands. Recognizing this, Lions Club of Panvel Sargam joined hands with Lions Club of Navi Mumbai Platinum to bring the joy of learning to young students through a large-scale book donation initiative. This was not just about handing over books – it was about giving them tools to dream bigger, imagine wider, and believe in themselves. Our aim was to ignite a lifelong love for reading, help students improve their academic abilities, and inspire them to explore the world beyond their classrooms. 🤝 What We Did: Lions distributed books in multiple schools, interacting with children, encouraging them to read, and inspiring them to use knowledge as their true power. Special Appreciation: Ln Anoop Tharwani – Lions Club of Navi Mumbai Platinum – for initiating and sponsoring the entire book donation project. Ln Meena Tharwani – Lions Club of Navi Mumbai Platinum – for supporting and participating wholeheartedly. Lions Involved from Panvel Sargam: Ln Sanjay Godse Ln Swati Godse Ln Premendra Bahira – President Ln Milind Joshi 🎁 What We Donated / Offered: Long notebooks distributed to 200 students in school. 💰 Cost of Project / Donations: Special thanks to Ln Anoop Tharwani for arranging and sponsoring the books entirely. ⏳ Total Hours Spent: Planning: 2 Hours On-Ground Execution: 8 Hours (2 hours × 4 Lions) Total Lion Hours: 10 Hours 🌟 Outcome: The sparkle in the children’s eyes said it all. For many, these books were their first step toward a better learning experience. Teachers expressed gratitude for the Lions’ thoughtful gesture, and the event strengthened community trust in our mission. This initiative not only provided essential academic resources but also planted seeds of hope, self-confidence, and ambition.
