Lions Alibag planted fruit trees : Lion Anil Mhatre will arrange drip irrigation at his own expense Alibag, Date 3 A large number of trees were planted on the hill in the Jagrut Datta Mandir area near Veshvi by Lions Club of Alibag. Kshatraikya Samaj President Dwarkanath Naik indicated that if emphasis is placed on planting fruit trees, fruits will be available for the common man to eat in his own soil. First District Governor Lion Praveen Sarnaik said that along with tree plantation, their preservation and conservation are equally important, while the honorable Lion President Pradeep Naik promised to implement many public interest initiatives in the coming year with everyone and expressed satisfaction with the number of attendees at the tree plantation initiative. On this occasion, District Coordinator Anil Mhatre announced that he would install a drip irrigation system at his own expense, while Nayan Kavale said that Lions Alibag is ready to build a dam under the 'check dam'. In this tree plantation, in the presence of dignitaries, numerous fruit trees such as mango, chiku, peru, jackfruit, amla and others were planted and a collective pledge was taken to preserve and conserve them. Many members of the Veshvi Kurul agreed to follow up in this regard and took the responsibility of consciously keeping an eye on the planted trees. More than a hundred Lions members and representatives of the Kshatraikya Samaj were present.
