LIONS INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 3231-A4 | L.Y. 2026–27 OCTOBER SERVICE WEEK 2026 ACTIVITY REPORT – CANCER CARE SERVICE Cancer Care Service – Hygiene Kit Distribution, Wheelchair Donation Announcement, Entertainment Programme & Magic Show Lead Club: Lions Club of New Bombay CBD Belapur Date: 5th October 2026 Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Venue: Asha Niwas, ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Owe Camp, Kharghar – 410210 ACTIVITY OVERVIEW As part of October Service Week 2026, Lions Club of New Bombay CBD Belapur, in association with seven participating Lions Clubs, conducted a meaningful Cancer Care Service Activity at Asha Niwas, ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Kharghar. The activity focused on providing care, comfort and emotional support to cancer patients and their caregivers. Personal hygiene kits containing essential items were distributed to the beneficiaries, helping them meet their basic hygiene needs during their treatment journey. On this occasion, the donation of two wheelchairs for patients was also announced, reinforcing the Lions' commitment to supporting patients with mobility requirements. To bring moments of happiness and positivity to the patients and their families, an entertainment programme and magic show was organised. The programme created an atmosphere of joy and relaxation and brought smiles to the faces of patients, caregivers and attendees. This Twinning Activity involving eight Lions Clubs, including the Lead Club, demonstrated the power of collective service and teamwork in bringing hope, dignity and compassion to those facing difficult circumstances.
