Their unwavering dedication often means sacrificing time with their own loved ones so that our community can feel safe. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Lions Club of Panvel Sargam sought to honor these Real Protectors of the Nation with a heartfelt gesture — tying the sacred thread of protection, not as a ritual alone, but as a symbol of our deep respect, gratitude, and solidarity. This event was our way of saying: We see your sacrifices. We value your service. We are with you. 🤝 What We Did: Our team visited Panvel Police Station to personally tie Rakhis to the officers on duty. Along with the ceremonial thread, we shared heartfelt conversations, warm smiles, and refreshments, turning the occasion into a celebration of mutual trust and community bonding. The officers graciously welcomed our gesture, and the spirit of Raksha Bandhan was truly brought to life — as an exchange of promises to stand by one another in times of need. 💰 Cost of Project / Donations: Approx. ₹3,000 (for rakhis, sweets, refreshments, and ceremonial items) 🦁 Lions Involved in the Activity: Ln Premendra Bahira – President Ln Dr Aditya Doshi – Secretary Ln Sanjay Godse Ln Swati Godse Ln Dr Manada Panditt Duhita Panditt Om Bahira ⏳ Total Hours Spent: Planning Hours: 2 Hours On-Ground Execution: 2 Hours × 7 Lions = 14 Hours Total Lion Hours Spent: 16 Hours 🌟 Outcome: The event touched the hearts of both the officers and our members. Many officers shared that while their role often involves facing challenges and risks, small gestures like these remind them why they chose to serve. For our club, it was an emotional reminder that service is not always about grand gestures — sometimes it’s about a few sincere moments that bridge the gap between gratitude felt and gratitude expressed. 🙏 A Note of Gratitude: We sincerely thank all Lion and non-Lion members who participated and made this celebration meaningful.
